Wheels for Success: Tom’s Story

When Tom completed Personal and Professional Development Training with us last year, one of his goals was to obtain his driver’s license. Without a license, his job opportunities were limited to those within walking distance from his home.

Tom invested in a driving program and obtained his license, but still faced a barrier to transportation since he didn’t have a car. He started a part-time job at Amazon earlier this year and spent a significant portion of his wages just getting to and from work via a ride service.

When Tom transitions to a full-time position at Amazon next week, he’ll no longer need a ride service. He now has a vehicle of his own thanks to our Wheels for Success program!

Wheels for Success accepts donated vehicles and gifts them to individuals like Tom who are striving hard toward their goals. We’re thankful for the community donors who make this service possible!
