From Surviving to Thriving: A Proven Pathway to Success

Kayla* wasn’t looking for a program – she was trying to hold her life together.

Raising a teenage daughter without support nearby. Recovering from an abusive relationship. Navigating generational poverty. Stability felt out of reach, and progress felt unlikely.

At her daughter’s urging, she reluctantly walked through the doors of Connections to Success and enrolled in the Pathways to Success program.

She barely spoke that first day.

But two weeks into the initial training, something had shifted.

“She was visibly different – more confident, more engaged,” said one staff member. “She even seemed taller.”

That transformation didn’t stop when the training ended. Kayla completed the full program, secured stable employment, earned her GED and associate’s degree, and eventually purchased her first home.

Today, she’s not just getting by – she’s thriving. And her story isn’t the exception; it’s the pattern.

Why Outcomes Matter More Than Ever

Organizations serving individuals who face barriers already know the challenge: it’s not just about helping someone get a job. It’s about helping them create economic stability, find belonging, and build a brighter future.

And doing that consistently – across participants, cohorts, and communities – is where many programs fall short.

Not because of lack of effort, but because sustainable outcomes require:

  • Structure
  • Consistency
  • Long-term support
  • Measurable accountability

That’s exactly what Pathways to Success was designed to deliver.
