On Saturday evening, something powerful happened in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Connections to Success hosted Missouri’s first-ever Father-Daughter Dance inside a correctional facility, bringing incarcerated fathers and their daughters together for an unforgettable night at the Western Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center.

For the families involved, this evening was much more than a dance. It was the culmination of weeks of preparation, counseling, and commitment from fathers determined to strengthen their relationships with their daughters.

For our team, it was the realization of a dream we’ve been working toward since August 2024.

We are deeply grateful to the partners, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this first-of-its-kind reunification program possible – and especially to the families who trusted us with such a meaningful moment.

The memories from Saturday night will stay with us for a long time, and we’re excited to expand this opportunity to even more families in the future!
