  • 1. What personal information do we collect and what do we do with it?

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request or as necessary to comply with applicable law.

Email marketing: we may send you emails in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, collect your input or inform you of changes to this privacy policy.

We will not disclose any personal information you provide to anyone outside of the Connections to Success, the Dress for Success organization, and its advertising and promotional agencies and consultants, except in those specific instances where you expressly give us permission to do so, or where we are required to do so by law.

  • 2. How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to become a donor on our site, make a purchase, or participate in a workshop, you are consenting to our collecting the information you have provided and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no. If you decline to consent, your personal information will not be used for any purpose other than that for which you have authorized.

  • 3. How do I withdraw my consent?

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via email or any phone number given on our website:

    • Change/correct any data we have about you.
    • Have us delete any data we have about you.
    • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

  • 4. Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms & Conditions.

  • 5. Donations & Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately or or inadvertently lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you make a purchase or donate money on our site, we use a third party payment processor. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

  • 6. Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our course website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Donor/Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms & Conditions.
