To help women gain equal footing and feel confident in job interviews and professional settings, Connections to Success operates two Dress for Success chapters: Dress for Success Midwest and Dress for Success Kansas City & Keisha Closet. We also operate a MOXI Traveling Boutique in Kansas City and a MOXI Upscale Resale Boutique in the St. Louis area. The MOXI boutiques function as social enterprises and help us support our work through Dress for Success.

Dress for Success Midwest and
Dress for Success Kansas City & Keisha's Closet

Through our Dress for Success Midwest and Kansas City & Keisha’s Closet boutiques, women obtain what they need for an interview – from clothing to confidence – and can return once they find employment for the apparel and accessories needed to enter the workforce.

 

Every woman who comes through our doors receives a one-on-one experience. During their appointment each woman is dressed in an outfit that makes her feel good and gives her the confidence to go to her interview and land the job.

Everyone suited through our boutiques is invited to participate in our Personal & Professional Development class. This class empowers participants to visualize their goals and create a plan for reaching them. This plan encompasses everything from transportation and education needs, to healthy personal relationships.

MOXI Traveling Boutique and MOXI Upscale Resale Boutique

Through grants from two local funders, the Brown Sisters Foundation in St. Louis and the Kelly Family Foundation in Kansas City, we launched a social enterprise arm we call MOXI! We purchased two mobile fashion trucks, enabling us to bring suits to women with limited transportation and also host upscale resale shopping events in the community to raise funds for our Dress for Success services.

 

Our St. Louis MOXI branch transitioned to a brick-and-mortar boutique model in 2019, while our MOXI Traveling Boutique in Kansas City continues to host mobile events and visit places like:

  • Homeless and domestic violence shelters
  • Community colleges
  • Vocational training programs

Parties with a Purpose

MOXI Traveling Boutique – Kansas City Region

When not in the KC community bringing suits to women, our MOXI Traveling Boutique is stocked with women’s designer fashions at incredible prices for special shopping events and private parties. You can host a MOXI party at your home, office, faith organization or other location. Party-goers enjoy a private, personalized shopping experience, and the proceeds from sales allow us to serve and suit more women in the community.

MOXI Upscale Resale Boutique – St. Louis Region

We host pop-up shopping events throughout the year at our St. Charles boutique location, and you’ll find us at a number of community fashion/charity events in the St. Louis area. You can also schedule private shopping times in our vault or schedule group shopping parties with us.

    We have a range of volunteer opportunities available, from serving as a personal shopper in our boutiques to picking up clothing donations from local partners. Visit our Volunteer page to learn more and get started.


  • Donate or Partner

     

    • Make a one-time or monthly gift: Financial support from donors like you ensures we can continue to offer our wide range of programs to women striving for economic empowerment. Donate online here.
    • Donate professional clothing or host a clothing drive: Donate gently used clothing and accessories or host a professional clothing drive at your company, school, or place of worship – or gather a group of friends who want to clean our their closet and make a difference! Contact your local Connections to Success location to schedule a drop-off time.
    • Host a MOXI Party with a Purpose: Host a MOXI party at your home, office, place of worship or other location
    • Host a third-party fundraiser: We partner with boutiques, restaurants, spas and other businesses to host and promote third-party fundraising events.


  • Attend an Event

     

    • Power Walk: Each year we host a fun-filled Power Walk at our St. Charles, MO location to raise support for our Dress for Success chapters. The family-friendly event includes a warm up dance session as well as a 5K race and walk.
