Kevin Lamb rode a beaten down bike to his Personal and Professional Development classes at Connections to Success. The bike often broke down and required constant repairs. This proved especially challenging for Kevin because the bike served as his only vehicle for getting around.

 

Through a partnership with United States Probation, we were able to connect Kevin with a unique opportunity at a local nonprofit called Bike Works. Bike Works generally works with disadvantaged children, teaching them proper bike operation, safety and maintenance and then gifting them a bike at the end of the training. Due to the partnership, however, Kevin was able to participate in an adult training opportunity. Now, he has a dependable ride and a better know-how of how to maintain it.
